Default What's wrong with this shot ?

Here is a photo I snapped on Sunday with my k800 cameraphone since it's the only camera I have available for now.I'd really appreciate some help on it please.

Thanks

It looks like it is lower on the right than the left (although it is hard to tell because the land may jut out). A touch of rotation may help. You might also be able to pump a bit more colour and contrast in.

daremo, Welcome

Sometimes it helps to reask the question: is this a photo that needs help, or does it need to be retaken? Closer? Different time of day? With a boat/swimmer/giant sea monster in it? There are techniques to boost the overall look of it, but it will still be sky/land/water almost indistinquishable from 100's of others. Rethink the impact of a photo that has detail, movement (even if it's just color and shape), something to get the viewer involved. This would be one to practice a tutorial on, find a technique that you've heard can spice up a photo. Look around the site, find photos that stop you, and ask "Why did I notice that?"

If you are of a mind to follow this approach, you could do worse than to have a look at the discussion in this thread, which deals with the post-processing approach one photographer uses for landscapes.
