Default Candle

Just took quite a nice picture of a candle.

ISO 100, F10.3, 6 sec exposure. I blew the candle while I took it and it came out with quite a nice effect.

I tried it first with a wide aperture but I thought it looked better with the rest of the it focus.

It's just not doing it for me. Needs more color and personally from an artisic sense, the flame just would look a lot better if it were static.

interesting effect.

I'd recommend changing the color balance to bring out the green of the, uh... the green stuff, adding some contrast, and sharpening the branch or whatever in the middle.

this is what I did with it:

I see your point Googlit, when I took it I set the white balance quite warm, but the colour does make it look better.

if that's what you were going for, then great. i, personally, really don't like how the flame is blown out at all. it's too distracting and ruins the rest of the colors.

It's very light, def. an increase in contrast (saturating the colours might help as well)
