nice shot it would be nice to see a larger version. I think cropping the top off just above the water fall would help reduce the distractions at the top.

A larger version would be helpful as it is a little hard to see. But it does look like you made nice use of a slow shutter speed to get the silky water look.

I agree with the previous observations. Larger would be better. 8-) I think you did a nice job with the waterfall. Can you share some of the technical details such as what camera and lens you were using along with the shutter speed and f/stop, ISO etc? Those little bits of info can sometimes help me to provide more meaningful feedback. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks for your comments. Sorry about the size of the file. It was my first posting and I haven't mastered the sizing requirements of this web site. The tech information is: Shot with a Nikon D100, 24-120 lens set at 35mm, f/22 at 0.50s and with an ISO of 200. I would appreciate any additional comments.

Thanks for the additional technical info. Other than what has already been said, I can't offer much to improve on your first posting. Any reason for not shooting at the widest settting for that lens (35mm vs. 24mm)? The water must have been falling at a good clip for the half-second exposure time. Nice effect. I was going to suggest using a slower ISO but a quick review of the Nikon D100 shows the starting ISO as 200. Depending on the lens used, you are probably approaching the top end of your aperture setting. If the scene were any brighter, you would have to use some neutral density filters to maintain the slower shutter speeds.
For posting photos, I signed up for the flickr account and followed the easy linking instructions provided in the forums on how to post your work. I had never used flickr before but it works great for these boards and also provides some limited EXIF data if present in the image file. I am happy to help where I can. Keep shooting and posting!

Lee, thanks for your input. I will also look into Flickr and try to improve on my postings. I wish I could have shot this at a lower ISO, but I am limited by my camera. This is my first Nikon and I am still trying to learn how to use it. I appreciate your help.
