Default The wee sheep

I'm new to both photography and this site, and I would just like to know what people think of this shot. It was taken on a hiking trip in the hills around Glencoe, Scotland. Spring really is the best time to go there!

the composition IMHO is ok, but you could have gotten close to the main object - sheep. and i think it's abit too dull (needs more contrast) and there's too much attention noise at the bottom (is it plastic bags or rocks?) .)

Aww look at the wee sheep. I like picture though I think maybe getting closer to the sheep would have improved the shot.

Hi Delle, welcome to dps! You have a very nice subject, mother and baby, plus the beautiful green and rocky field around them. I see you have Picasa, which I use, too. I think if you cropped the image and removed some of the right side and some of the top so that the sheep were more to the right of the shot, it may be a more pleasing composition. Did you use sharpen on it? That might make your subject a little more clear.
I usually don't try to change someone's image, so I hope you don't mind if I shoe you what I mean:
Highland%20Sheep

You might be able to use a little shadows on it to darken it somewhat, too.
