Default Tree branches on a cloudy day (semi-abstract?)

I'm new. And I'm sorry but I forgot all of the settings I used.
It was taken on a Fuji s5200.
Tell me what you think?

P.S.
I have no photoshop touchups.
Any ideas on that?

Generally it works well - the branches provide a crisp silhouette and are particularly interesting because of the buds along them.

I think the weakest part is the portion on the right. The white of the cloud is overexposed and, consequently, the branches in that section lose their apparent focus. You could try cropping to a square, from the left, which would remove the troublesome section - after that, you might want to play with colours and levels a bit to improve the interest of the cloud but I think it would definitely be improved.

Hi,
I agree with Wulf on the over-exposed right hand side of the image. Eben though you don't have Photoshop, there are free programs that will allow you to do some post-processing such as Picasa2 (www.google.com) or IrfanView (www.irfanview.com ). The balance of your photo is somewhat split down the middle. As suggested, experimenting with cropping may provide some good results. Generally, when shooting trees such as this one, unless there is some sort of subject or point of interest, the tree usually needs more of a base. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Keep shooting and posting.
