Default A different kind of edit

very bored and playing with photoshop. i think it turned out pretty neat. i was after the whole dark look. let me know what you think.

Wow, I like it It does have a dark look to it. And your model has great eyes. It looks almost fake, like a really good animation. The only thing is that the skin on the face looks kind of splotchy, which is probably from the various light and shadow. Otherwise, I really like it. What process did you actually apply to it? Or can't you remember since you were just playing in Photoshop?

Ya the skin does look out of whack. I was only using my 580ex so I couldn't get the light super even. I think it also has to do with some of the tone mapping settings I did.

This was the process

curves
played with the skin (blur)
played with lots of random dodge and burn
creating vignette (cant spell it lol)
added the orton effect
then finally sharpened

Great shot! The skin does look a little off, but I think it sort of adds to the dark look you said you were going for. The colors in the background and the colors of the table work well too. Nicely done.

I think it looks amazing! The picture really does look like a great painting or animation as said earlier. Almost looks like there may be a bowl of water under her reflecting light on her face.
