Default First proper photo

Hey guys,

My first post here, I usually troll around through the blogs which by the way are fantastic. I'm actually pretty new to the whole "proper" photography business, have just been trying stuff out for a few months time so was hoping to get some comments on this photo I just edited, I believe you people call it "lomo" I could be wrong, took it a few months ago with my crappy point and shoot camera

See y'all around

Evran

Loving all the lines, cool bridge.. I think my eyes would like it more if the crop made it a bit more even on both sides..Maybe if it were cropped so the pic started just after the two sloping beams and started at the uprights (Am I making any sense here?!) And WELCOME ABOARD!...

Default Nice Shot

Firstly, to DPS!

I agree with the others on the crop.

I also suggest for a shot like this which such wonderful lines, try converting it to b/w. It just brings out the lines so much more. Just try it and let me know what you think.

Alright so I decided to crop it like most of you had suggested as well as tried a b/w approach which doesn't look too bad either

Default Nice Job!

Hi evran:
I liked the work you do with the crop. Also i like the b&w comp u did. It has some nostalgic issue that makes me like it a little more than the color comp.
Maybe i just try to make it a little more bright.
Cya.

I like the black and white version as well, but it seems to me that the phot is leaning ever so slightly to the right. Have you tried to straighten it?

Great picture, for some reason it was just fun to look at and follow the lines.
