I like the range of colours and the idea.

I'm not so blown away by the particular choice of buildings at the bottom - it is a skyline but there doesn't seem to be anything memorable about the particular choice or any carefully chosen interaction between the sun and the foreground. It also looks like you have some wide-angle distortion creeping in near the edges.

Therefore, it is good but, even if you can't be sure of a similar sky, it might be worth considering other options for the foreground in case you do get up early again on a similarly glorious day.

Actually I will call this a lazy shot. Shot with a P&S from my roof top so you see those buildings and some distortion. Thanks for sparing some time to write this up.

Hi,
I think you have some good material to work with here. Experimenting with cropping may make for a stronger impact. For example, cropping out a bit of the top of the image to make it more of a panoramic image may bring out more impact of the clouds. Also, try cropping such that the rising sun isn't situated so dead center fro left to right. Along with that, a little more of the darker base may help the overall composition. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
Sincerely,

Thanks for the feedback.

I tried to crop a bit. There is camera shake in the picture so ...
I have tried cropping from top and a bit from extreme left.

Thanks for reposting the crop. You had a great sky to work with. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Keep shooting!
