Default Lomo help needed...

Okay I love this technique but am not too sure as to what shots are good for it. I can't seem to find one for the life of me. Plus i am not sure if I am doing it right. I am not that great with photoshop. here is one I tried.

well, the edges are sure too dark and it lacks a bit of saturation and contrast too.

I thought that about the edges too.....
I went and searched for some lomo pics to reference after doing this and knew I did not get it right. I think I just don't have the eye for the lomo thing. I swear I try it over and over and I must be doing one of the steps wrong or something.

now on this one it seems the edges are not dark enough?
Is there a site dedicated to real lomography?

well it sure is more lomo than the first one .) i think the edges are quite ok and i think that blur near the edges adds to the real lomo effect.

How about giving us one of the originals of the pictures above so that others can play with it? That might be a good way to learn more about the technique.
