Hi:
First of all let me thank you all for your thoughts. Also let me apologize for my bad English
I just bought a new digital camera (not a DSLR) instead I got Sony DSC-H2.
Here is a picture I took to a dummy after reading some of the tutorials I read in this awesome blog. All comments are welcome!
Thanks!!

Hi, oriolhdz! Welcome to DPS, glad you can join us .

I think you did a pretty good job getting your subject in focus and blurring the background. Did you use a small aperture number to do this? You might want to be careful not to cut off his hand.

Thanks for the advices. I'll try to get in next pictutes the subjetc in focus.
I dont remember wich aperture i used. I just took lots of pictures of the dummy playing with the aperture and shutter speed. I will try to remember those things to for the next photos i take.
Thanks again for your comments.

Two thoughts.

1) Try to use a wider aperature, as the background is still clear enough to be distracting.

2) Introduce a side or back light, often images with a bit of lighting contrast are more visually interesting.
