Default Crescent Moonrise

comments please. wondering if this image would have worked if it was taken in portrait mode also...

was hoping also to get some more reflection of colors on the water but it was a bit windy...

Thank you.

Very nice silhouette! The colors are done very well but I do agree in that more reflection would have been nice. Also, I don't know if the name fits because I am drawn to the tree way before I find the moon, but that's so petty that I don't know why I even said it... er... um... Seriously, it's a great shot!

nice colors and silhouette, indeed!

and I agree... my eye was attracted to the tree and the sunset. The moon is a nice touch, though. Nice.

If youre gonna call it crescent moonrise, dont aim to get the reflection of the waters since its so far off from the main subject/theme, right now my eyes are drawn to the tree, then to the shore and to the sunset then to the waters, you can call if something else, but if you really want the "crescent moonrise" title, try to crop it with the moon at the 1/3 of the composition either vertically or horizontally, but be wary of the tree or the leaves at the right side of the pic, they grab attention
thats my suggestion

I hope i am not being harsh when io saw this but i think your perspective is a bit off. I cant tell whether the silhouette is of a small plant close by or a large tree far away. Just kinda looks funny.

I do like the colours though.

thanks ployoung...

azam007uk - it's actually a large tree close by...i guess the silhouette of the mountain kinda throws it off...
