Default The newest model

It's been a while since I posted anything, so I figured I'd give y'all a chance to lay into me again.

He's the newest model in the hacienda. Fire away.

Glad to see you back Gunsotsu, I take it your newest model has been keeping you very busy indeed.

I like the picture, though there are one or two little things. Did you add the vignette when you converted to B&W? Just wondering. The other thing is that you cut off just the very top of his head in this. But, it's so little and it's in the shadowy area that it doesn't really hurt it much. Finally, the thing in the background that appears to be coming out of his back could probably be removed in post pretty easily. Might be something to consider. Basically just little nit-picky things.

I think that you captured a very lovely moment, and the detail is very nice. I look forward to seeing more shots of your photogenic new model.

The vignette was intentional. Hadn't even noticed the stand in the background until you said something. Had I backed off and gotten that little bit of the top of his head, I would have gotten a bit of my wife's chin. It was a trade-off.

Ah, then I'd say that you made the right choice in your decision of where to end the photo. A chin would've been much more distracting. And in fact, the vignette does help remove the focus from the little bit of the head that was cut off. Thanks for the answer. I don't know why I was curious whether or not you added the vignette intentionally, but it seems to work
