Great job thinking outside the box! I love the deep red and had no idea it was rust until I saw the title on Flickr. Great shadows as well. Overall creative and effective composition. Who would think that weeds and rust together could form such a pleasing photo...

I love it! The rich, deep red, the shadows, the composition! Very inspiring!

photofixation,

Thank you, that was the inspiration.

Teewinot,

Thank you. Since getting out of the box (Spring sprung, Sun shown) more ideas are made possible. This I walked into. Coming back from shooting blooms and buds, the wind caught the weed, cast lacy shadow, and I wondered what color would fit behind that? As I walked further, the rusty beam was in full sunshine too, and I placed weed, shot photo, then processed.

YoAshnish,

Thank you for that. It's good to be inspired, and at times to inspire also. Definition of DPS, sort of. It's a pleasure to be in contact with your photostream, too.

Sime,

You're welcome, and you do know about shadows. I didn't have a camel, so inspiration blew my way.

JiminyC, that is exquisite! Reminiscent of chinese watercolours or Oriental pattern work. Been thinking for a while about doing a project on shadows, but haven't quite got round to it.
