Default more new H2 pics...

Ok, so I realized after my last thread that I was only supposed to have on photo per thread... sorry about that

So, I did some more shooting today, and got some great macros (I think)... and I was hoping for some feedback. Here's one of my favorites from today, which links to my Flickr, where I'd love to receive more feedback if anyone's up to it.

Thanks,
Jared

jmlizard,

You will get a critique faster and more useful if you space your posts: pick the one you need the most help with, even if you'd rather place a near-perfect one to avoid criticism. You will learn more, from a number of perspectives. Also:

The Complete List of Assignments

You have 37 areas of different subject material to present any other photos you're eager to show.

This photo is creepy in the best sense of the word: very clear, realistic.

What's happened at top center? That looks like unfinished cloning or cutting away of background. Just noticed it, not bothered by it.

Sorry... I'm a little over-ethusiastic about my new camera and the shots i am now able to get that I had always dreamed of getting. I'll try to moderate my posting more.

Thanks for the list of assignments! I was under the impresion that each assignment lasted for a week, then it was over... So, just to clarify: I can post to any of those, even now? Great!

As for this picture... I'm not sure what you mean about the top center. I just took the picture, cropped it to 4x6, and posted. I only have iPhoto, so I really have no ability to do any heavy PP, if that's what you were referring to.

Thanks,
Jared

Hi Jared, we probably all know how you feel about being overly enthusiastic . With all the assignments to chose from anytime plus the snapshot thread Share Your Shots, the ABC threads
A is for...
B is for...
C is for...
plus all the sections in technique (Macro, Landscape, Photographing People, etc.), we can keep you really busy !

jmlizard,

If your photo were a clock, at 12 o'clock position it looks like a clone action or cut/paste had been done. I saw it on another flower shot moments ago, so it's a fluke of light. It's the only dark-edged petal, so it stands out. I'm just used to looking for this sort of thing. If you don't mind it, it doesn't matter.
