Default A band

I was taking photos for a local band the other night and thought I'd post a couple of shots to gauge peoples thoughts.
I'm open to suggestions and criticism as always!

The larger versions on Flickr (click the images above) make for nicer viewing.
There's also some more shots from the evening at Flickr too.

i like them both. nice work!
for the first one i would have suggested moving the camera down a bit since there's empty space up top and you cut off the singer's elbow.
the second one's skin seems a bit washed out too which should be easy to correct in PS.

I like the second picture best.

The first picture is also good, the only thing I'm feeling is that it might be a bit too tightly cropped. The singer is (I think) reaching out for the audience and I, missing the open space and maybe even some hands in the air of the audience.

Very nice shots!

StormRider, I see what you mean, however there's no crop applied to that photo.

I think it is still fair to call it a crop, even if it is applied "in-camera" and thus can't be undone... although perhaps "framing" would be a more neutral term. Whatever you want to call it, I would agree that it looks good but I would love to see a slightly lower view on the scene, especially if that included some of the audience.
