Default Above the clouds?

This shot I took with a Canon EOS 30D at F/16 and 1/1000th of a second. The focal length was 190 mm. I used a circular polarizing filter and tried to increase the contrast of the clouds to give a 3D effect to show the layer of clouds below the telescope. Not quite sure if I’ve achieved this.

dabrams, Welcome

Yes, I get the perspective of being above the clouds. How strange to see a building in that position! A little more building surroundings would have been OK, too, just to keep it from looking too tight at left and bottom. How high is the observatory?

Yes, I have a series of these photos including some with more surroundings and some with less. Unfortunately, I’m keeping these for something else. The observatory is at 2332 meters above sea-level.
