Default Girlfriend under the shower

Just tried my first attempt on people photography...after a million shots I found one acceptable...as always, tips and comments are more than welcome.

I like the strong lighting on the left of her face mixed with the highlighted drops of water near her.

I would potentially crop a bit harder on the left side to bring the subject (your gf) more into the image - mabye crop along the tangent line at the base of the visible wrist (the white pole or beam would end up the border of the pic.)

definatley a cropping job, as xysmas has suggested it can be done and still retain the theme of the photo

I really like what you captured here. The lighting makes this shot and I too agree that cropping the image a bit more (maybe to a square aspect) would make it much better. But hey you camera doesn't do square so the shot as it is is great. Good work.

Hey all!

Thanks for the comments...I cropped the photo twice, first on a 2 x 3 ratio, because I do prefer to keep my photos like that, but for me it doenst do the trick and I can't say the picture really improves.

But that might be very personal...the (almost) square ratio is nicer I think:

Feel free to do your own cropping on the original photo:

svenblom,

Yes, on the (almost) square one. Even though a strong diagonal is formed, or because of it, I like the overall feel/look of it. I would have tried to highlight the water droplets a little more, just for effect.

The maturity on this board is incredible, I was expecting a dozen people to say "Show us the other million attempts!"
