Default Lily, taken with a phone camera!

Pink Lily 2

I really am quite impressed with this shot, I took it with my phone camera which is a sony cybershot 3.2 million pixels. Just occasionally this little phone takes a good piccy. I sharpened it a tad and cropped and removed some digital camera noise. I have another one on flickr

Nice shot. Perhaps if you edited the background a little to make it less distracting it would be even better. Really though, that is one very clear shot... you realize your camera phone has more pixels than the P&S that I still carry around sometimes

how do i sort out the background? i tried selecting it then blurring it, but its noticable.

yeah i am amazed at technology really cos the first digital camera i ever had was a bright torquoise Kodak camera and that was only 3.2, shows how times have changed.

Very nice capture of the lily, its hard to believe that cameraphones have come so far. My first cameraphone you were lucky if you could make out who people were, even close up!

Wish I could help. I'm not so good at it myself. I tried to figure out how, but like you said, it turned out pretty noticeable... Maybe Jim or someone else equally good with photo editing can help out

knickers71uk/Nicole,,

I was just going to suggest moving the lily in front of a blank wall, or hanging a plain article of dark clothing behind it. The time it would take to alter it is time better spent retaking it. Unless "Lily" is deceased?

Great shot, I'd have never thought a phone could do that.

Just in case your interested its the Sony Erricson K800I 'Cybershot' I beleive you can find out more about it by clicking on the properties of the photo as there is a link there. Everytime I have upgraded my phone I have always gone for the phone company that offered the best deal on the phone with the best phone camera, Samsungs have always been good in the past. However This has to be the best bar far, more superior than any others I have used. I have found it to be quite good in twilight conditions as well. This was the first time I used the macro setting, shame it didnt blur the background more, but still I love it, and I think it captured the magic colourful image that i could see. I have recently read about a new phone on the way with 8 million pixels!! So there ya go lol
