It's always to play with long exposures, they're like a box of chocolates :x

I think your first shot has a bit too much going on and your second shot has much more potential..

I like the scene in the second shot overall, it has nice lines and curves to it. One critique I would make is to crop it and get rid of a little bit of the left side (right up to the bench). I think this would improve the composition, as the grass adds nothing to the picture and it would help move the curving line a bit off center.

LOL I think it's funny how my comments are gonna be the exact opposite of yurik's.

I think the first shot has much more potential than the 2nd shot. You can see the progression n the first shot. I think you could really work with that idea of the car coming towards the viewer and turning away. The overall setting doesn't fully work for me but I like the bridge, the night, the car streams. I like the composition but I think it would serve better to be a little tighter. Make the car coming towards you bigger.

In the 2nd picture, I am not getting the concept.

But hey that's why we are different right

i wish they didn't have that border and were actually larger in size so we could actually see more details rather than clicking 4 times, but....

i think the first one might be a bit better if you cropped some of the bottom off and maybe a hair off the left side. it would have been a lot more interesting if that curb/sign wasn't in the right hand of the picture. it breaks up the streaks of light and i personally find it distracting.

i like the exposure of the second one, but the photo does nothing for me. if the people weren't there and there was something more on the right (or nothing at all) or if it was cropped to just above the second lamp post or maybe if a more interesting sky was in there. i dunno.

The first picture seems expected. If you say 'slow exposure', 'night', and 'city', someone would probably think "Cars! lights! streamers of glowing prettiness!"

The second looked utterly boring until I actually took a close look at it. The full-size picture from DA really looks unreal, with the ghosts of people walking around this hyper-lit landscape underneath a dark sky. It reminded me very strongly of a video game, especially something fairly modern like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion or Half-Life 2 which uses HDR lighting techniques to be try for realism. Very artificial.
