Comments on the exposure and contrast would be great. I thought it might be to dark but when I bump it -- it kinda blows out the detail of the lilly. I did bump it and mask the flower so it was slightly better which was also suppose to give it some better contrast.
It was a amazing little lilly pond and it was covered over by palm tree's with the sun coming in though some very light cloud cover just after midday so it was a bit overcast.

Yep the DOF and focus is on purpose. I stopped the lens down to create that effect and took the AF off of area and set it up for the top of the lilly. Which was a total pain as my camera has no DOF preview. I took several at shots at different aperture settings so I was sure to get on that had the correct COC.
Shutter Speed: 1/676 second F Number: F/3.2 Focal Length: 47 mm ISO Speed: 400 edit: I also removed the frame it was a bit OTT.

Afox,
Naughty bits are well presented with the contrast. Overcast may have saved the lighter petals for you. Good job
