Annisangel, Welcome

Next to air, water is my favorite thing. Seems to be no end of ways to photograph it. Thought you might enjoy this thread (Water Works assignment) to get inspired:

Water Works

Looking over your photo, I am sure being close to that powerful torrent was a moment worth saving. Do you think you captured that feeling? Could the color be deeper? Water sharper? Maybe a little more of structure to show relative size? These are things to keep in mind before you push that shutter release. A thousand more bits of information are here for the reading. Enjoy while you learn!

Annisangel,

Also Landscape Photography in Techniques below, and over in DPS Blog (link at top of page) there are articles on "Interestingness" and Composition that will open the world for you a little more, especially when trying to stuff tons of natural grandness into an 8" x 10" window.

I think it's awesome that you are trying different stuff and experimenting.

I think seeing the side where the water came out instead of the cropped line there would show the pic better. I get you were trying to show the power of the moment. Perhaps throw a rubbie duckie in, grab your shots and run like the banishee away. J/K well sorta.

What camera are you using for curiousity sake?

My camera is an HP and my uncle gave me that for my birthday and now I have bought a camera from my friend at work. Just need some batteries in it, that I am getting tomorrow. That is an Konica with objective for close-ups so lots more experimentations are about to be published!!!!
