Default Not exactly Carl quality

LOL after seeing what Carl can do to his crap shots I am alwmost scared to ask about mind.

As you know this week assignment is Cityscapes. I haven't found a worthy shot to post yet since I lie in the suburbs of flat land with no water.

Anyhow this is an apartment building shot before. remember I have a Point Click Sony

This is post editing

Does it look too grainy. How can I take the shot at night better with basic settings? Or is it decent?

The DSC W30 (i work for Currys and the camera section is mine) is not a bad little point and click camera, unfortunately it doesnt have any manual settings. But for a simple and basic point and click it has impressive ISO (upto 1000) and aperture settings (going down to 2.8 and equivelant lense upto 118 mm)

I have a cybershot in my mobile phone, its only 3.2 but i am amazed how good at nightshots it is. i do a lot of nightclubbing with my phone where light is obviously an issue. What I have found is that twilight is not always the best settings for nightshots despite the auto settings adjustoing the ISO and aperture. I have played around with the different settings , I suggest you try the same, just try different auto settings, the joy of digital is that you can delete the rubbish ones!!

What I do tho on twilight is, where the cybershot trys to focus at the point where i half depress the shutter, if I take my time at that point, i hold it at half depress for a good minute letting it trully focus on the subject, even if it gives me the ok with the green [ ] it gives the camera a chance to set its auto settings more accurately, and I take a much clearer shot as a concequence.
