Default Blackflower live shot

One of several photos taken of a band called Blackflower at a show last week. Shutter priority, speed set to 1/30, ISO400:

Blackflower (42)

I've also had a go at using photoshop to simulate a cross-processed effect on it:

Blackflower (42) Cross-processed

I'm fairly pleased with them, but I'm after any thoughts, ideas or criticisms to help me develop my style a bit.

stetson ography,

More often I see people getting #2 and asking how to achieve #1.
The naturalness of #1 gets my vote, and bonuses for simple presentation and choice of moment to save.

Yeah, I think I prefer the first one too, the second was more by way of an experiment, trying stuff out.

I agree with Jiminy and Stetson. However, you have shown the courage to try new things, something I haven't been able to do yet.

the first one is the best. it looks like he is singing with passion in the first. in the second one, it looks like he is singing with his eyes shut, because the light is to bright.

regards carl
