Looking good, you've got the exposure right. Looking forward to seeing some of these shots from you with a city in the background.

thanks, I want to go out and do it again very soon, I was thinking about doing it with a more interesting background like a public square or big glass buildings, but those places have much more light, and for the pictures I already took I maxed out the aperture, so the shutter speed will have to me much faster...
Is there a DIY tip or something to reduce excess light?

Try setting the camera to Shutter priotity (this will be marked on the mode dial as S ot Tv if it is a Canon camera). Set the shutter speed to ten seconds or whatever time you want to use. This way, the camera will figure out what aperture to use.

Very nice. I like the first one in a way, it's very abstract, just a glowing red line. It could have come from anything... the second is obviously a vehicle.

I just saw "Akira" for the first time the other day, and both shots made me think about the 'light trails' the motorcycles made in the movie.

I like the first one too. i like the fact that those red lines could be from anything. they almost look like tyre tracks to me IMO, except for the small problem that tyre tracks do not glow bright red. Or maybe thats just me. I also really like the colours of the lights in the left half of the second picture.

Nice Work!
