I don't mind so much the half seahorse. It's the cropping where you've taken off his nose and this have this gap behind him.
You show the texture really well on the statue but again you make me think that there had to be cooler angles with the subject.

Looking at the diver shot and this one: if you want to crop - go ridiculously close - make a brand new image or find some interesting detail or angle, i.e. crop ike you're serious about it, not just for the heck of it. Trust me, you'll have loads of fun
I'm a serial cropper too
