Default "Pedestrian Acess PROHIBITED"

I took this photo just down the road from my house. I took this photo right on sunset, hoping to get some nice oragnes and yellows. However, my camera failed to comlpy and instead i got a slightly blue looking image. So i decided to simply drain all colour from the image except the reds and i got this:

what do you guys think?

I like it. It reminds me of a "big brother" type society, not sure why though. But I think the removing all the colour (exept the red) is really efective.
good job

I find that I have to read the text from left to right which bugs me a little. It'd be interesting if someone who reads Hebrew would feel it to be distracting.

Would is be possible to take the shot the other way with the words that you start with at the front of the lens?

I can easily retake this shot from the other side of the sign as it is just near my house. However, that said, I'm on holidays at the moment and wont be back there for a few weeks. But when i do get back there i'll give it a go.

I like it too. Very effective color editing IMO.

I know what you mean, when people use these new fangled acronyms I used to get lost also. Then I found this site.

According to this , it could mean, International Mathematical Olympiad. Somehow I don't think that's what they had in mind though.

another different angle could be looking up more from the bottom...this going with the big brother theme from ant, it could give the sensation that the sign is looking down or over your shoulder .

Well here's my second try (finally) from the left hand side of the sign. In this one i also backed off the brightness of the sky so as not to take away from the main focal point of the image, and to try and give a dull and opressive fell to the environment surrounding the sign.

So, what do you guys think of the change?
