How do you get any work done with a view like that ? Beautiful colors and I like the framing of the palm tree. I'm assuming the sunset is the focus of the shot, but there are a lot of distractions: the person's head, the ship on the right, the car, etc. Try to pay attention to foregrounds. It's easy to be distracted by the beautiful sunset and forget the rest of the shot. It's good to have something of interest in your foreground - like the sillouetted tree - but you don't want to clutter it.

Thanks Sara,

I will try to reframe the shot today. Thankfully the weather is nice here so I get a lot of sunsets... And to answer your question it is very hard to get any work done... Thankfully I have people working under me so I dont have to work too much

Wow. This makes me what to pack up and leave today. I have a vacation package with a resort complex in Cancun and can't wait to get back. I'm anxious to see what you come up with for your second try (just don't make it too beautifull or I might have to really pack up and head your direction).

RexK,

The gem in the sea. Simple subject and muted colors work well because composition is uncluttered. Remember this one, whatever it took to get it was worth every second. Well shot. Even the horizon. Thanks for posting it.
