I think the fog and haze worked well for you. It gave this image a particular dreamlike feeling. Excellent for being a new dslr user!

I agree with Saralonde. I like it. I think that the soft colours work really well, and the lone tree... really nice Well done especialy, as a new DSLR user

carl yeomans,

Just a tree, just beautiful. And yet you say it looks paler here? On my monitor I was hoping it was lighter in the original. The large black frame would give a little dark effect to photo without as much in it, as it appears maybe you added? It is the one distracting feature in an otherwise wonderfully simple photo.
