First attempt turned out pretty good, and will get better with practice. A higher shutter speed would stop rotation of wheel, hubcaps would show detail. This is composed well, maybe less of sky and right side would help.

A little trick i learnt for panning is to stand facing towards where you will finish panning and then turn your top half back to were you are going to start. This helps heaps with gettin a smooth pan.

My first reaction was, "WOW!" If that's your first ever attempt, that's excellent! Bravo, I expected to see the truck look a lot fuzzier!
