Default Sun behind the Cherry

I took this shot while holidaying during Christmas Season at Blue Mountain. It was about 9am or so and I saw the chance. I took this with a Canon SD600. Just wondering what you guys think and how I can better improve. I just started so I'm not very good with the photography terms.

That sun just makes me want to stare into it. I am no expert but may be if you cropped it to the right a little took some of the sun out and then took the brightness of the sun down a bit it would better balance out. That is just me though... I must say that it is a really gorgeous shot though, I do really like it.

it's a nice image, but your main subject (the cherry) is out of focus. With a point and shoot, you're probably going to have to stand back a bit more to get anything so close in focus. And you can also use macro mode (if you didn't for this shot).

Keep at it though!

Thanks! I did use Macro Mode.. yeah I kinda realize that it's too blurry. Think the difficulty was I wasn't in a good position. Standing bit awkwardly..and with it being cold, my hands would shake. Probably should get a tripod soon.

Tripods are really necessary if you are interested in photography. At some point, you will find that you really need one.

Default RE: Sun Behind Cherry

Perhaps it may have helped to shoot a bit earlier in the morning?
