Default Engagement Session

I would love some input on this photo from one of my latest engagement sessions. I was really fighting a harsh afternoon sun in most of them. I think this one worked well, but I would love the insight of this group.

Cute couple, you caught them looking happy. I think you did pretty well with the lighting considering the conditions. Did you use a tripod? They seem a little OOF, but I don't always trust my computer screen. He looks really relaxed, but she may be in a slightly awkward position. Most important question: is the couple happy with the shot?

I like the shot. But as Saralonde said when it comes down to shot like these it is really up to the client.

Good look on the soft focus that helped on the harsh light.

Saralonde: No there was no tripod, it was all handheld. The OOF was primarily my adjusting for a softer focus due to the lighting, as sagelike31 noted.

As for the client, I'll know very soon. Out of the poses and 306 shots, I am confident there will be plenty to their liking.

Thanks for the feedback.

i thought it was a bit OOF too, but if that's what you were going for...
i don't mind the poses, but would have rather seen the guy's hand on the woman's leg with her hand on top of his. without being able to see his left hand around her and his right hand on his own lap it seems a bit akward.
as long as the customer's happy, who cares what we think
