Default Sun Through Fern Edits

I took this shot in Washpool National Park, Australia, looking up at the sun through the fern. I've been experimenting with changing the colouring of the foreground and background and came up woth these three versions of the original. I'd love to hear other peoples thoughts on the effectivness/appropriateness of these edits

PS: No hurry! I've posted far to much on these forums over the last few days. I'm afraid if a post too many questions, JiminyClickits hands will explode from typing too many replies.

stevesutt89,

With my asbestos gloves on, I say 'original is hands down the better one,' while still promoting experimentation wholeheartedly. Bring 'em on!

I like the original out of the three also. Not too crazy about the greenish tree trunk in the final two.

There is no such thing as too many posts .

I'd also agree, the first one is the one I like the most. It's more natural, the others look a little alien like!

I like the original but I am also keen on the second variation (coloured fern / greenish background); I think it is preferable to the black and white background (a common cliche and just dull in this case) or the black and white foreground.

It would be interesting to see a combination of that and the original - giving the background a greenish tinge but not losing the original colour entirely.

Hadn't even noticed! I'd race you to 1000, but something makes me think you'd leave me in the dust .

I also like the first one the best. And don't feel bad. I too have started posting a lot. I have found as long as you too are willing to add comments to others they are more than happy to look at your shots.
