Miche',

This made my Monday lighter!

Another good use for layers. When you are comfortable with putting copies on top of copies, one of them can be a very brightened version that shows the exact edge of your son's hair (usually difficult), ears and shoulders, so that you can Select (by Inverting) the background. This should be explained in your Help files.

You can Cut or Delete son first, leaving only the background on one layer, which can then be colored, texturized, painted on, whatever.

If you Cut or delete background first, leaving son on a copy layer, you could place that in another photo, over a painting, etc.

The iffy part will be the areas in original where the background and flash have left the edge really dark, so when placed on a light background, it may look cut and pasted.

That's a challenge. Ask if something makes no sense. If you want example, let me know. Practice is still the key.

Thanks for sharing the image.
It certainly elicited a "quiet laughter" upon viewing it.
Can't help looking at it over and over again.
Really nice capture.

Default Quiet laughter

Hsroxas,

Thank you for your comments. However after reading your commentary "blue eyes funny" seems like a terrible title I wished I had named it "quiet laughter"! What a great title! I wish I had thought of that. Oh well. I would bet your images have great titles seems like you have an eye for that. Thanks again!
