when i look at this shot I have a hard time focusing on the person which I figure by the name is the subject of the shot...It seems the bridge(which is neat) is competing with the person. Maybe try and get a more abstract view of the bridge that gets the idea but doesn't take away attention from the person. Also the sky seems a bit blown out (might be just because its very plain though, looking at your close its most likely just plain clouds). I like the idea of the shot but I don't really get the feeling of thinking too much from the person, again I think its hard to focus on the person with the bridge so dynamic....I like the shot overall though, nice idea

I totally agree with Nieton21, the two do seem to be competing with each other. Maybe if you slightly blur out the background your focus may just concentrate on the person. Also, for a more "deep" feeling I think if you convert the picture into B&W it might give more power.

I love giving critics because it is easy
Just 2 remarks: try to get rid of the wires in the background and something that always seems to be very distractive to me are feet that are not totally in the shot.. I like the BW version too! |
