Default Sleeping kitty

This is the first Critique pic that I am uploading. I really was trying to capture the innocence of a sleeping cat!

I shot this in raw mode on my Fuji S5600
Aperture F3.2
Shutter 1/110
ISO 64

DSCF1762 copy

Thanks

Mandy

A steady hand indeed!

This is a nice shot, very clear.
But i feel by taking the picture from so close up, the cat loses some of its innocence. Perhaps you could try taking another from just a little further back? But then again, that may be just me, i am also rather new on these forums.

beezwax,

And you did as you intended. Is that purring coming from PC? Very tight DOF, a hint of sunlighting. Certainly different tastes would change some aspects, but it stands on its own, too. Well-taken.

Very nice. I like the lighting, the close crop, and the sharpness. Now there is no reason to be nervous about posting more .

As a cat lover, I also love this...I think it really does portray the inncence of a sleeping cat, and does so beautifully
I love the lighting on the orange fur around the left eye, it really brings out the texture.

im going to go find my cat!
