Default Crypt Door

Old cemeteries offer a lot of interesting shots- Here is one of my recent attempts. I shot this in RAW with my D50. I played a bit with color intensity and cropped out a lot just to highlight the flowers left behind. I was amazed that someone still cared after all these years

Great shot! I visited your entire pool of doors. You got some great shots in there! This one leaves me wanting to see the top part of the door. It must be having that wreath cut off half way.

the one thing I might suggest is to crop out everything but the doors themselves in perspective mode in Photoshop (not sure what you use...) but that'll straighten the edges of the door and have it fill the frame.

love the shot, though! awesome!
I love shooting at cemeteries... there's always something interesting. Last time I went, there was a small group of deer hanging out. Curse me for forgetting the zoom lens. =P

I should have done the edges as you suggested. I was concerned about the half wreath aspect but I wanted that bouquet to have the emphasis in the picture so I cut it in half.

Thanks for the comments

marc_714,

I looked at even more of a top/bottom crop, and then wondered at what point is it no longer recognizable as crypt door? As photo of interest, it could take another trim; as record of an event, the whole door might work better. Really curious what is showing through door above flowers?
