Default The railline in the distance

IMG_0179.JPG

The Farm near the rail line at Picton NSW.

One of the problems is the road and the powerlines.

The Mighty2006,

What category would you put this under: Landscape, Architecture, Nature, RR Tracks, Grassland? I'm lost for comment, other than keep shooting.

Seems a little light. Perhaps a bit of post processing to deepen the color.

I really like this image what F stop were you shooting at? I would add a little contrast to the image and saturate the green just a little. See what you can do to get rid of the fog in the distance see what you can do to get the image nice and bright. This would be a really nice image I like the power lines and railroad tracks.

Perhaps take the picture during a sunrise or sunset or a time of day were there is less fog. I don't know if there was fog when you were shooting but the background looks washed out. Other then that great image I love it.

The Mighty2006,

Much better, the Vivid having the better contrast. Composition with tracks is more interesting; not sure why photographed far away? Or is original telephoto? That would account for haziness.

Is the Farm important to you? The smaller a detail is in a photo, the less attention or importance it holds. Exceptions are brightly colored objects, simple amongst complex, intricate amongst plain, moving amongst still, etc.

Here everything is still, and now smaller. Trees cover part of most areas of interest. There are a thousand photo subjects inside the frame of this one. I'm looking for a reason to appreciate the original choice of shot.

Mighty 2006

I would like to see the shot taken about half way betwwen the original and the reshoot. both in colour exposure and the distance to the farm house.

The Mighty2006,

Last one, really. These are areas that you could find a more singular subject to concentrate on, and perhaps create more focussed interest. Hillside, farm, gully (stream?), railroad, tree beside RR all have potential, one at a time.
