I would prefer to see her positioned a bit more to the left of the shot - there is a band down the left hand side that doesn't add anything to looking at the girl as the subject. However, that could be fixed with some cropping.

hoges,

Overdosed on sunsets; this is a pleasant change. Deep thoughts are not easily caught. True to your signature; bet you'll remember this one long after you've forgotten what the last 37 sunsets were like.

I guess it shows the fast pace of the environment with a slow thought in the middle....

her being out of focus deterrs from this too much for me...
i like out of focus shots, sometimes it can really add to the image,
but for this one,
having atleast her face not crisp
really takes away from it.

the cropping too,
is a bit off,
to my eye,
there is a headlight *growing* out of the back of her head,
and too much space to the right of her, maybe...
the expression on her face begs for this to be much more cropped in,
closer to her...

for me.

it really depends on what your goal was/is-
to focus on the *sunset* aspect,
to focus on her and the sunset aspect,
to have the people in the background in there as well, as an integral part of the scene...

for me when i see this, it's all about her face and the light on it,
it isn't coming together on a whole,
shot the way it is currently.
for me.

the framing and the focus doesn't do the scene as a whole justice.

the idea is really good.

It's nothing you can change unless you crop it out but it's just something about the striped shirt person that takes away from the person in reflective pose.

it's a shame the cars in the background are more in focus than the girl. that distracts me too much. i would suggest cropping the left side of the picture and hopefully getting rid of most of the one car. shame the girl wasn't standing a little more to her left. that arrow directly behind her would have been cool if it were whole.

thanks for the feed back, some great comments and ideas, i am now going to do a setup shoot using this snap shot as a concept starting point.
The original idea was taking time to look at the sunset while the world rushes past behind her.

To put more emphasis on "while the world rushes past behind her", may I suggest that you use a shutter speed 1 to 2 stops slower than what you used in the original shot. This may create the motion blur on the background that will help in communicating the "rush".
I like very much the facial expression on the main subject that you captured. Hoping that she can do it again when you do the set up shoot.

In that case I think Matt was right. You need to make sure she is in focus and cars are moving behind her. Have your model stand still and go for a slightly longer shutter speed.
