Default Chaos at 10 AM

Started with a Fuji S3100 pointed out a window on a Winter morning. Using night mode and f/8, and Negative/Solarize in post-processing. Alternate title: H2O Recycle

Wow. That looks like a crazy storm is brewing. Nicely shot. I like the post work you've done - gives it a really spooky feel. I find the shot a little dark but at the same time it seems to work well.

Jiminy, good title, it's chaos indeed. You have an interesting sky here, some potentialy interesting elements on the ground, but somehow either they don't fit together or are not mutualy positioned in a proper chaotical order . Or, there's just too much going on here. But it is definitely intriguing. I did some cropping trying to isolate some parts that I find interesting. The black cloud is very interesting itself, it has a shape of a child holding something in his/her hand. It's "I give you the moon" in the attachment, and my favorit. Second, "Smoke on the water" would be better without the big tree, I think. The third is a very nice composition of trees. If you like it and if it's only a glance through the window away, you can take more photos with the zoom. I like the way you experimented with post processing.

KagoGrl,

This is one of more than 60 photos from just over an hour; the cloud was holding part of over a foot of snow. It was dark off and on, edit added some, especially Solarize. Original is just another local cloud bank, w/water tower. Thanks for being here.

sana,

There's that eye . . . this was not much until the Negative/Solarize functions in edit gave up that black mass and the silhouettes turned into the tower and white clouds. You are right about too much (thus "Chaos") and each of your crops has its own interest. When I tried to crop, the cycle of water came to mind, from clouds to snow to ground water, tower to hydrant in foreground. I'll be going back here. Thanks for giving titles to crops, that helps to see some of what you see.
