Nice macro - although I find that black blob near the top on the right-hand edge a bit distracting. I'm guessing these are oven rings - perhaps you should have cleaned them first! (or taken the picture from a slightly different position)

I think it is great when people get creative and shoot common things found in their homes with macro. This was good idea shot at an interesting angle. Wulf is right about the blob though . Might be fun to shoot it glowing red, too.

I tried taking it out with gimp, but the DOF was making it a pain in the neck. I took quite a few shots, but I liked the feel, from the angle, of this one best. I actually did think of having it glowing red, but that would melt my camera or the lens would focus the heat on the sensor and/or destroy the lens coating.
