I like it because it has a very minimalist feel to it. The tones in the image are dull and underpowering which gives me the impression that this place has been left alone and has been in the same condtiton for some time. To me it tells me a story of a place time forgot. The exposer is spot on I think and sometimes the lack of color can be a powerful compostional tool like it is in this image. The quality of light shining down on the wooden chair or seat adds more to the image by keeping you focused on the well defined subject in the image. Well composed image I would love to hear some more background information on this place to put this picture into context.
Nice work!

You can count me in as one of the ones who really likes it. The composition couldn't be better. The colors are great. The part that catches my eye, however, is the light from the ceiling. It gives a very AHA, Choir of Angels feel to the scene as if the clouds have just parted and the sun has peeked through to reveal the chair. Maybe there is something special on the chair. who knows, but the light is pointing it out.
Great!

I don't know why but I want to place a book or something on that bench. That's what makes it great to me, is when you want to walk into the photo and be apart of it! Great job with the colors and lighting. I love the shadow play as well.

I like it as well, especially the light flowing down from above. The way you cut it is really good, makes the distance from the floor to the ceiling seem a great deal longer. The colors make it feel like a prison cell but with freedom shining in, flowing in fact, with the light. Now only if there was just a slight more contrast between darkness and light, it might make it more effective, but it's just an opinion of mine to like a lot of contrast.
Good job.

Wow, the photo is really my taste! I really like the light from above, and also the lonely chair (stool?). It looks to me like it was a torture chaimber, or an interrogation room. But maybe I've watched too many spy movies.
Anyways, very nice capture, but if I may say something, I may improve on the pic, is the contrast. Maybe a little more contrast.

I really like it too. The light from above makes it more powerful for me. I can imagine someone sitting on the stool, looking at the light and trying to remember what it was like to be free...
Maybe a little lower angle would have emphasized the height of the ceiling? Maybe black and white could add more to the mood of the image? But still very impressive as is. |
