Default Golden sunset

Switzerland

Some details...
The camera is a 350D and the picture is taken with the kit lens.
I wanted to capture the feeling, it is a sunset after a huge storm. The place is a big lake in ZUG, Switzerland.
I can't wait to get some answers so I can improve my technique.
I will also post some other pictures.

Thanks,
Horia

horias2000, good morning to you,

My immediate reaction to your photo was that you saw something beautiful and you captured it. I was fortunate to have visited Lake Lucerne in Switzerland one time in my life...so this picture touches a spot with me.

Here are some real quick things to think about: include your settings (Exif) with threads as it helps reviewers; this image is a little too dark; If you had only one pole, I would regard it as a distraction...the fact there are two poles creating a perspective, I do not find them to be a problem for this image...others may. There are some rules about horizons and rule of thirds that you just may want to take a look at here at DPS. Recently, I had a review of a photo called: Douce Ambience; a tour of that thread includes some discussion about this concept.

I look forward to other comments on your photo and to your future postings.
