Default Ocean Silhouettes

DSC_0249
Camera Settings:
Aperture: f/5.6
focal length: 18mm
Exposure: 1/125th sec
Mode: Aperture Priority

I was trying to create a kind of frame with the trees in the foreground. I like the way silhouettes of the trees and mountains contrast the colorful ocean and sky. Any comments?

I like this photo a lot! Your attempt at using the trees in the foreground as a frame worked out very well. The colors look great and, as you said, the contrast of the black trees and mountains and the blue ocean and sky is awesome. My only suggestion would be to rotate it slightly so the horizon is horizontal. It looks a tad higher on the right. Great shot!

I also liked how you used the trees to frame your picture. To only be there would be nicer!

A framing technique I love to use as well.
Nice colors captured. Was wondering though if it would have been nicer if the image was captured at a lower angle, to see more of the sky and put the leaves a little bit further towards the upper end of the frame.
