Default Shed in winter

What do you think? I took it with my point and shoot Sony Cybershot. It was on auto mode so I don't know what the settings were.

Nice shot! I would take a bit off the top. The blown out sky is drawing a bit too much of my attention. Is this a place near by? I think a more angled shot and composed a bit to the right more would have added some dimension to the shot. I look at that fence and think I want to see what that side looks like a bit.
Not sure how others feel but the tree rising straight fro m the middle of the cabin is is a bit distracting. Looks like a great place though for a shoot!

Micah Olsen, Hi:

You have captured the cold; I am shivering as I write. You should be applauded for taking the shot in the weather. I like it...particular the bold vintage wood cabin color against the soft-colored landscape. The contrast feels good all around. The composition feels right for me...but I will look forward to hearing other members with more experience that me.

Nice shot.

Nice work! I think cropping out a little of the sky might help more... perhaps down to the tops of the trees. Not to far thought cause the fog in the trees looks great. Any more shots from this area? I think a few angles to make up one piece would be cool.

I also think a crop would be nice. This shot looks like it could be a postcard or the front of a lovely winter greeting card. It is SO pretty!! and yes, you ARE brave for being out in that cold taking pictures to share. I am a wimp from Florida, I dont go outside unless it is over 65F

No unfortunately I don't have any more shots of this area. This was one of my first shots so now I know to take multiple shots of the same area. a panoramic of this area would be cool! Thanks for the comment.

Is this legal? I hope so. This is the photo after a crop job.

Nice shot. I like the trees and the sky, but I agree that if you crop it a bit it would be better. I would love ot see this shot from a lower view with the cabin at an angle vs straight on. It is a very nice shot, and I wish I had somthing like this to shoot near me. Good job.

I really like images like this. The setting to me seems perfect for black and white...I recently started playing around with Photoshop, so I hope you don't me tweaking it a bit. I added a second layer, blurred it a bit to give a surreal, dreamy effect, increased the contrast a bit, and here's the result. If me doing this isn't acceptable, please accept my apologies and assurances that it won't happen again. Anyway, great shot, and here 'tis:

I like the way the reddish-brown of the buildings stands out. It's a lot better than, say, a green or blue building would have been. The snow and clouds make the viewer feel cold. The building is the shelter, and its color is warm too.
