Took this over the weekend in Oklahoma. You can't see it in this one, but in some of the other pictures, some of the water looks purple. Let me know what could have made this a better picture. And if anyone knows why there was a purple effect. I am thinking light reflection, but purple.

I think if you had shot this at a different angle it might make a world of difference. To me, there is too much dead space on top of the little water fall. You might also try expierimenting with different shutter speeds to create different effects with the water.
Do you know where you had your white balance set on? That could give your pictures a different hue to them.

To add to windrider86's comment on dead space, some cropping or a close up on the "waterfall" would remove that dead space and may make it a little more interesting.

although I totally agree with the dead space perspective. On the flip side, it shows the calm water off in the distance. Maybe actually lowering yourself down to show more waterfall and the calm water being farther out??
