Talking Fountain in Tuscany

Hi everyone,

I would like some feedback on this photo. It was captured in a Tuscan garden in Florence in Summer 2006. Thanks for your help!

Eric

Is this the original or did you crop some?
I would have liked to seen the base of the fountain and not cutting it off right at the union of the bowl and the pedestal.
The subject is lit pretty well for being a nice bright day behind it.
It is almost perfectly centered in the frame which i don't mind for a shot like this but am really distracted by the base kissing the bottom of the frame.

I agree, I love full fountain views. Something just doesn't sit right with me that the bowl and the landscape are on the same level. It just throws it off for me. I love the detail in the sculpture though, great job there!

I would photoshop the top left cloud out. Crop a bit of the right side.

Default Cropping

I did crop it some in order to remove some distracting lamp poles and the edge of a balcony whose color matched too closely to the fountain and detracted from its focus in the center of the image. Other than that, I didn't compose for much of the fountain pedestal in the first place. Here it is:
