pata b&w
today was market day! and since my husband went with me to the market anyway, i decided to take my camera along. do you think this photo is more effective in b&w or in color? (colored version here). I didn't fire the flash so I'm afraid it might be underexposed. what else can i improve on for this photo? thank you in advance for your comments.

I like it.

the B&W provies a dark feeling...
nice work without the flash, and good comp. Perhaps a little play on the contrast? show some of the skin folds etc.

this is a great photo

is there any way to do that (show the folds of the skin) without making the photo a tad underexposed? i don't know my way around photoshop yet. thanks.

Nice shot, I do like the B&W version much better than the color version. For me the exposure is fine but I like things a little dark. I think the under-exposure helps fade out the background and really bring the legs forward.

Very cool!

Nice shot, gives it a nice creepy feeling of a meat market

I think the black and white version works much better; the colours make it look less real and more like plastic.

I have to say that I do find the watermark distracting. It is very elegant but gets in the way of me seeing the photograph for what it is; it's prominence makes it the apparent subject of the image.

thank you for your suggestions. i'll try to place the watermark lower next time. i always put it in my photos because i post them in my photoblog. I'll try to edit it out and adjust the contrast a bit more. thanks again guys!
