Default Reflective Sky

I take lots of pictures of clouds. They are my favorite. I also like to get the landscape in once in a while. Is there something that could be done to make this a bit more real..?

maz2001,

But, photos aren't real. Did you mean dramatic, bold, contrasted? If you let your camera meter the light right on the edge of the brightest cloud, it may not become overexposed, and the rest of the sky would have more contrast. If you got farther back and included more landscape and clouds, it might have added more interest. I have lots of clouds too, but only as b/g replacements, not as a subject by themselves. Really, what do you mean by "real?"

For me there isnt enough of one or the other to make it super interesting. Remeber to use the rule of thirds.
Perhaps if you cropped it vertical and kept most of the tree outline ont he right would help.
I love taking pictures of clouds, unfortunalty clouds alone dont make for a great photo (most of the time) I use them a lot for replacing a sky in the pictures I have where the sky is blah.

if it was me, I would have taken it, or cropped it to be portrait and added lighting under those trees in the middle of the frame. having more of the tree's showing would have been cool. I love the sky right above the middle tree's so that is what I would have wanted to show off more. I also love sky shots, they are so gorgeous!
