Default What do you guys think?

Hi, I was at a wedding yesterday, wasn't the real photographer so didn;t really want to bother the real "photographer"

Took some shots of my own and did some PP on them. What do you think of this one?

morfasie,

You ask what I think? I think you have captured pure beauty, both in form and what is, in most probability, her inner joy and love. The shot is clearly focused and you captured her beautiful, living, brown eyes.

Now, I think the centering does not work. At first I was going to suggest cropping on the right to get Mr. passerby out; but I think that would be a mistake because that would leave her staring off the frame. I think I would crop somewhat hard on the left to build her into a "thirds position" and soften Mr. P in the background. On my own, I did do a recrop for my own practice. I would share it but I did not want to thrust it upon you and mess with your photo.

What were your settings? Aperture could have been larger to put more blur on Mr. P.

Lovely shot.

It appears the white balance may be off. If not, I would adjust it. The whites of her eyes, teeth, and the pearls around her neck are a little dingy. I think bringing those up a bit would help pop her out a little.

Well the girl herself is obviously beautiful, which always helps, but I agree with Geotography that you captured her at a great moment. This picture would have been great with a short depth of field like the one you get with a 200mm lens at 2.8 or so. That way mr. background there would have been a little more blurred. Perhaps you can blur him in photoshop instead? Also some form of cropping seems to be in order. As she is looking slightly to the right I agree it would be best to crop some of the left side away. Perhaps also cut some of the bottom off as well to get her even more aligned into the rule of thirds.
