Thought I'd get down and and dirty jumping in Critique my shot. I'm a little dissapointed with the toes being cut off and I didn't manage to leave myself enough margin to do some interesting cropping. But the expression is to die for

its very nice. Really great expression. i love this picture. Clear focus on the face, great depth. To bad about the toes etc. but this picture is a keeper. I would play with some after effects, maybe lighten the whites in the eyes, skin tones etc. but with no touch ups this really is a great picture.

aelysa, Welcome

The eyes are powerful, for the good focus and expression. Usually we see lack of a catchlight: here they may be a little too intense. The difference may be in making them more of a crescent shape, rather than a circle. Just a quick edit would make them less obvious, which is the job of a reflection, to add to the shape and life of an eye, but not draw attention to itself.
